Fengxi is, like Zhuyan before, a fairly simple boss in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Since there aren’t many moves in his repertoire and he telegraphs all of his attacks in a very obvious way, he’s actually a very easy boss to fight. Once you go through Fengxi’s attack patterns, you shouldn’t have much trouble with him.
As Zhao Yun says, as soon as the battle starts, Fengxi likes to charge, and you can definitely use that to your advantage. Not only is it very easy to parry, but even if you don’t deflect Fengxi’s charge, it can sometimes smash into a wall. If you have Absorb Vitality, this is the perfect opportunity to restore any lost HP. If not, you can use this opportunity to attack him as much as you want. It doesn’t stay idle for long, so be careful when it starts up.
Fengxi has a morale of 20. This means you should also have around that number if you want to fight on equal terms. Like all the other bosses in Wo Long: Fallen DynastyHowever, you don’t necessarily need to work on Morale just to prepare for Fengxi. Morale is more about reducing damage per hit and increasing your own attack. But if you prefer a challenge, then Fengxi is perfectly beatable even when you have minimal morale.
Once you get Fengxi down to half health, she starts adding more moves to her repertoire. He has several attacks where he attacks you, either after a jump or after a bit of wading. There’s also one where it moves, creating shockwaves that you can stop. However, it’s safer to keep your distance for this one. Besides, Zhao Yun is, as he was in the Zhuyan battle, quite useless. But you can definitely use it as a meat shield or as bait.
To quickly recap, Fengxi’s main sources of damage come from her charge attacks and her shockwaves. While you can avoid their rampant moves simply by keeping your distance, you should actively try to deflect their charges. His movements are quite slow and you can easily deplete his Spirit Gauge with a successful parry. You can also lean so that it hits a wall, which will knock it over.
