Clauncher is a cool Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is very similar to a crab, but it has a blue skin. Clauncher is a water-type Pokémon, meaning it can resist fire, water, ice, and steel-type Pokémon. It’s worth getting your hands on this Pokémon because you’ll need it in some battles. Although it can be found in many places, getting it can be a bit tricky, but if you go to the right locations, you can easily get it. Here’s how to find and catch Clauncher in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to catch Clauncher in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
To get your hands on Clauncher, you need to travel to its home locations. It is found on all coasts, from east to west. That said, some areas have more Claunchers than others, making the areas ideal for Pokémon hunting. One of the places you can visit during the early game is The South Province (Area Five).
Travel to the Pokémon Center there and go to the open beach area. Here on the beach, you can easily find many Claunchers. If you can’t find it there, look for it a bit or go to the beach, where you’ll probably find some Claunchers.

When you find a Clauncher, you need to throw a Pokeball at or near it to start the battle. During the battle, you can try to throw a Pokeball to get it directly, but that may fail. You have to try and damage the Pokémon first and throw the Pokeball to get it. Clauncher is weak against grass and electric-type Pokémon, and you can use it to gain a critical advantage. If you still can’t get it, try throwing a good Pokeball, which is almost guaranteed to get caught.
