Qwilfish is one of the scary looking Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokémon is like a mixture of a fish and a balloon, which gives it a unique and individual appearance. It is a water and poison-type Pokémon, making it strong against fire, water, ice, fighting, poison, bug, steel, and fairy-type Pokémon. Getting your hands on Qwilfish can be challenging, but it’s worth all the trouble. Qwilfish is one of the hardest fish for anglers to catch, as they only get a short window to do so. Here’s how to find and catch Qwilfish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to catch Qwilfish in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To catch a Qwilfish, you must first find its location. It can only be found in water, but only sea water, meaning you won’t find it in rivers or lakes. It can be found all over the sea surrounding the map, but there are places where you can easily find it.

A large area is the ocean west of the titan sky. Another good place to hunt Qwilfish is in the sea near South Province (Area Five). You have to fast travel to the Pokémon Center and enter the ocean to find Pokémon. After looking around for a while, you’ll find one or more Qwilfishes.

After finding the Pokémon, throw a Pokeball or swim near it to start the battle. When the battle starts, try to damage it and throw a Pokeball to take it out. It should be noted that Qwilfish is weak against electric, ground, and physic-type Pokémons. You can use Pokémon(s) against it to damage it quickly. But if you damage it and still can’t catch it, you should try throwing a good Pokeball.
